From the Orlando International Airport (MCO) to the Conference Hotel

Mears Transportation Group (+1-407-423-5566) runs a shuttle service from the airport. They have two locations from which to catch a shuttle:

  • Located on the A-Side of the Terminal on the Ground Transportation Level (Level) 1, at Commercial Lane parking spaces: A9-A10 and A36-A37

  • Located on the B-Side of the Terminal on the Ground Transportation Level (Level) 1, at Commercial Lane parking spaces: B9-B10 and B40-B41

By Taxi

If you want to take a taxi, proceed to the taxi stand. There are two taxi stands:

  • Located on the A-Side of the Terminal on the Ground Transportation Level (Level) 1, at Commercial Lane parking spaces: A5-A8 and A22-A25

  • Located on the B-Side of the Terminal on the Ground Transportation Level (Level) 1, at Commercial Lane parking spaces: B5-B8 and B30-B34

The rate to the conference hotel will be about $47-$55. Taxis may carry up to 9 passengers, and charge the same rate regardless of the number of passengers. All taxicabs picking up at the Airport are regulated by the City of Orlando’s Vehicle-for-Hire ordinance which requires fares to be determined by a taximeter.

Flat rate fees are not authorized. Therefore metered rate may vary from the approximate rates quoted above.

Renting a Car

Rental car companies are located on the A-Side and B-Side of the Terminal on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1). The MCO website has more information and links to the rental car companies.

Driving from the Airport to the Conference Hotel

  • Take Florida 528 (FL-528) Toll West to Lake Buena Vista for 16.7 miles.
  • Use the left 2 lanes to merge onto I-4 West towards Tampa for 3.7 miles.
  • Take exit 68 for Florida 535 (FL-535) toward Kissimmee/Lake Buena Vista for 0.2 miles.
  • Turn left onto Hotel Plaza Blvd, and then the Whyndham Lake Buena Vista hotel will be on your right in 1 mile.

By Bus

The local Lynx bus system will take between 1 hour 40 minutes and 2 hours and 40 minutes to get you to Disney Springs, which is near the hotel. You can pick up a Lynx bus on the A-Side of the Terminal, on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1), at Commercial Lane spaces A38-A41. The cost is $2 per person.

There is an online trip planner for the Lynx system available. but currently (in October 2018) there is a bus leaving about every 1/2 hour on weekdays, with the faster routes leaving 15 minutes after the hour, starting at 4:30am and continuing until the last departure at 9:30pm. The schedule is integrated with Google Maps.
