CASCON 2025 Diversity and Inclusion Plan

The IEEE Computer Society is committed to broadening participation in computing across all its sponsored activities, including conferences. CASCON 2025 is dedicated to cultivating a conference environment that values and promotes diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to ensure that every participant feels welcomed, respected, and empowered to contribute to the advancement of collaborative software and computing. 

Strategic Objectives

1. Inclusive Participation

   • Actively seek and encourage submissions from individuals of diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups in computing.

   • Ensure representation from various sectors—academia, industry, and government—to enrich the conference discourse.
     
     

2. Safe & Respectful Environment

   • Implement a clear Code of Conduct that outlines expected behaviors and procedures for addressing violations.

   • Establish confidential channels for reporting concerns related to harassment or discrimination.
     
     

3. Diverse Programming

   • Curate panels and sessions that highlight diverse perspectives and address topics related to diversity and inclusion in technology.

   • Invite speakers and panelists from varied backgrounds to share their experiences and insights.
     
     

4. Continuous Improvement

   • Collect feedback from attendees regarding diversity and inclusion initiatives and overall inclusivity of the conference.

   • Regularly review and update diversity and inclusion policies to reflect best practices and attendee input.
