ERMSEI 2026
Mon 7 - Fri 11 September 2026 Eindhoven, Netherlands

Accommodation

Welcome to Eindhoven! This page will help you find a place to stay during the ERMSEI at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), running Mon 7 - Fri 11 September 2026.

Eindhoven is a compact, bike-friendly city, and the TU/e campus sits just north of the centre — about a 15-minute walk or 5-minute cycle from Eindhoven Centraal (Central Station). Almost everything below is within easy reach of both the station and campus, so you won’t need a car.

Book early. Eindhoven is a busy tech and events city, and good-value rooms in the centre go quickly in summer. We recommend reserving as soon as your participation is confirmed.

Where to stay

The most convenient area is the city centre / Eindhoven Centraal zone. Staying here means you can walk or cycle to campus, reach restaurants and nightlife on foot, and step straight off the train when you arrive. All the options below are in or around this area unless noted.

We’ve grouped suggestions into three tiers so you can choose what fits your budget and travel style.

Budget & student-style stays

Great for participants who want a sociable, no-frills base and the best value.

The Social Hub Eindhoven

A hybrid of hotel, student residence and co-working space, located right next to Eindhoven Centraal (Stationsweg 1). It’s popular with students and academic visitors: rooms come with a private bathroom and fast Wi-Fi, and the building has a gym, bar/restaurant, communal lounges and free shared bikes — ideal for the short ride to campus. They offer both nightly hotel stays and extended-stay rates for visits of two weeks or more, which can work well for a multi-week summer school. - Type: Hotel rooms + student/extended stay - Approx. price: from ~€80–150 / night (lower for longer stays) - Walk to campus: ~15 min (or ~5 min by bike) - Book: thesocialhub.co/eindhoven

Budget hotels & hostels in the centre

Smaller, simpler central hotels and B&Bs (for example Budgethotel de Zwaan and similar guesthouses around the centre and Stratumseind) offer basic private rooms at lower rates. Search “Eindhoven centre hostel / budget hotel” on your preferred booking site for current availability. - Approx. price: ~€60–95 / night - Walk to campus: 15–25 min

A note on university housing

TU/e’s regular student housing (via providers such as Vestide and Plaza Resident Services) is generally aimed at semester-or-longer stays with minimum terms of several months, so it usually isn’t suitable for a short summer school.

Comfortable mid-range hotels

Good for participants who’d like a private, hotel-standard room with breakfast and daily housekeeping. All are in the centre, a short walk or cycle from campus.

Hotel Approx. price/night Walk to campus Notes
NH Collection Eindhoven Centre €120–180 ~12–18 min Reliable 4★ chain, very central, gym & restaurant

Prices are indicative for a standard double in summer and vary by date and how early you book. Most rates can be filtered for free cancellation.

Apartments & self-catering

Handy if you’re staying longer, travelling with family, or prefer a kitchen.

  • Aparthotels / serviced studios — e.g. limehome Eindhoven and similar: furnished studios with kitchenettes, contactless check-in, weekly cleaning. Approx. €100–160 / night.
  • Short-stay apartments — search Booking.com or Airbnb for the Centrum, Strijp-S or Villapark neighbourhoods. Strijp-S is a lively former-Philips-factory district with cafés and good transport to campus.
