Directions
The conference venue and recommended co-located hotel are located at the center of the Garching research campus of TU Munich and, in principle, located between Munich Airport and Munich city center. Having the metro station “Garching Forschungszentrum” (Garching Research Center, metro line U6, blue line, end station) at the very entry to the conference venue and co-located hotel, there are multiple ways to reach the venue from both the airport and the city center.
Taking a taxi from the airport may be the most convenient way but please note that taking the taxi to the venue may well cost around 60-70 EUR. Munich Airport further further offers car sharing options such as Miles or Sixt Share, among others, and with a fleet of cars in parking area P20, level 1, directly between the terminals 1 and 2. If you decide to make use of car sharing, please make sure that you have the mobile app of the respective service installed prior to your trip as you might need to register and validate your drivers licence in advance. Finally, Munich Airport is also well connected to public transportation. Both the parking area P20 and the entry to the public transportation can be found in-between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
