Parks
São Paulo has 144 parks, offering everything in attractions that you can imagine. Ibirapuera Park is the most frequented one, which can be compared with Central Park in New York and is an area for walking, relaxing and has a convention center. The park has several buildings, mainly designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the world famous architect more. Also the Museum of Contemporay Art and the Museum Afro Brazil is in the park.
Well frequented, too, is Parque Villa-Lobos, where you can rent a bike to take a ride in the park. Additionally, various public events are held here, including concerts. A beautiful exhibition of orchids is also available for viewing.
Parque Trianon is on Avenida Paulista, opened in 1892, it remains a small reserve of the Mata Atlântica (Atlantic rainforest).
Museum
Museu Paulista Museu do Ipiranga in São Paulo, Parque da Independência (Independence Park) is the area where Emperor Dom Pedro I declared Brazil´s independence from Portugal in 1822. In the park there is the monument Museu do Ipiranga (also: Museu Paulista). This monument is a building showing a lot about the Declaration of Independence as paintings. Still, it also has an extensive exhibition showing what life in São Paulo was like at that time.

Paulista Avenue
On Sunday, you go out and have fun in various spots all over the city.
Take Avenida Paulista, for instance. The 2.8-kilometre-long avenue is closed to traffic, sweet revenge when you spend the rest of the week waiting for the green light to cross it. Time to take back the streets! Some people come to play music, dance, take pictures, or wander around and watch others do the same. It’s lively, noisy, crowded, and a fun place to be on a sunny summer Sunday.
Beco do Batman
Beco do Batman Batman’s Alley is a famous open-air street art gallery located in the bohemian Vila Madalena neighborhood with independent fashion stores, casual bars, cafes, and contemporary art galleries, Beco do Batman is one of São Paulo’s main attractions for urban art enthusiasts.
