CHASE Lightning Talks

The CHASE Lightning Talks initiative debuts this year as an exciting inaugural addition to CHASE, bringing together authors of high-quality research on collaborative and human aspects of software engineering whose papers have been accepted at co-located venues such as ICSE, MSR, and ICPC. This year’s Lightning Talks are centered around the theme “The Human Side of Developer Experience”, highlighting research that explores how developers think, feel, collaborate, and interact with tools and environments in their everyday work.

This new format is designed to amplify cross-venue exchange by offering concise presentations that highlight key insights from carefully selected papers, followed by an interactive panel in the spirit of CHASE’s collaborative and interdisciplinary community. At the start of the session, each paper will be presented in a short 1-minute pitch to introduce the findings, after which a fishbowl-style panel will be held to discuss what these papers tell us about “The Human Side of Developer Experience”. The panel will be organized as a fishbowl to encourage an open, participatory format and active dialogue between panelists and the audience.
