Tue 14 Apr 2026 15:20 - 15:30 at Oceania II - Autonomous, Robotic & Cyber-Physical Systems Chair(s): Matteo Camilli

Emerging and future applications of ubiquitous computing systems pose unique self-adaptation challenges. To support the research needed to address these challenges, we provide Ubi-AAL, a self-adaptive ubiquitous computing problem exemplar in the domain of assisted living. Ubi-AAL captures key requirements, sources of uncertainty, and other distinguishing characteristics of such applications, such as the tight involvement of human participants in various roles associated with different run-time activities, as well as the interplay of technical goals and human-centric considerations.
