Following three successful FATTW workshops (2023, 2024, 2025), we explore the new foundation of software testing in the AI era, discuss the new frontier of software testing, and provide an overview of the challenges of testing software systems with AI and testing AI-driven software systems. We investigate the new opportunities that agentic AI offers for improving the productivity and quality of the software testing process, and outline the new skyline of software testing.
AI has already upset the software engineering research and practice, and we will soon see a completely new paradigm for software engineering. In the workshop, we will discuss the research challenges of testing and verification in the LLM Era. The rich program illustrates the leading-edge research results in testing AI systems and AI for testing, with emphasis on agentic software testing.
FATTW 2026 is co-located with Automated Software Engineering ASE 2026. The participation is only by invitation.
