Receptions, Banquet and Social Events

ICSE 2026 social events are designed to help attendees connect beyond the technical program, offering welcoming spaces for conversation, networking, and celebration throughout the conference week.

Co-located Events Banquet

  • Date/Time: April 13 or 16 (Monday), 8:00–11:00 p.m.
  • Location: Rio Scenarium

  • Details: Co-located event participants are invited to join us at Rio Scenarium for an informal evening with live Brazilian music, food, drinks, and great company in the heart of Lapa, a traditional samba region in Rio.
  • Transport: Buses will depart from the Windsor Barra Hotel starting at 6:00 p.m.

Welcome Reception

  • Date/Time: April 14 (Tuesday), 7:00–9:00 p.m.
  • Location: Windsor Convention Centre (same complex as ICSE 2026)
  • Details: A cocktail reception held in the sponsors’ area and open to all conference attendees. It is a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new people, and start the conference week in a relaxed atmosphere. Click here to see it in the schedule

Newcomer Reception

  • Date/Time: April 14 (Tuesday), 7:00–9:00 p.m.
  • Location: Europa II
  • Details: A special reception for first-time ICSE attendees and newcomers to the community. Join us for an informal and welcoming opportunity to meet other participants and start building connections early in the conference. Click here to see it in the schedule

Banquet

  • Date/Time: April 15 or 16 (Wednesday/Thursday), 7:00–11:30 p.m.
  • Location: Costa Brava Club (7 km / approx. 19 minutes from the conference hotel)

  • Details: The ICSE 2026 banquet will take place in a relaxed and festive atmosphere, with music, circulating waiters, and food stations. It is a chance to celebrate with fellow attendees and enjoy one of the main social gatherings of the conference.
  • Transport: Buses will depart from the Windsor Barra Hotel starting at 6:00 p.m.
  • Guest tickets: Available for purchase during registration.
  • Important note: The banquet is split over two days. Main conference registrants should select their preferred date during registration. Attendance is subject to availability, on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum capacity of 900 participants per day.
