Arghavan has a Ph.D. from Polytechnique Montreal in Canada, where she focuses on evaluating and enhancing the quality of programming intelligent assistant tools in software engineering that are data-driven and powered by Machine Learning (ML)/ Deep Learning (DL) techniques. During her PhD, she delved into developers’ code and contributions within open-source environments and proposed novel approaches to assess their programming skills. She also researched ways to evaluate and enhance the reliability and effectiveness of intelligent assistants that incorporate Large Language Models (LLMs) for code/test generation. Her research interests converge at the intersection of ML/DL, software engineering, program synthesis, and human-computer/AI interaction.
