Sérgio holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco in 2004. He is currently Associate Professor at Informatics Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco Center (CIn/UFPE). He has experience in coordinating research, development, and innovation projects funded by SENAI, CNPq, FACEPE, FINEP, Petrobras, Information Technology Law, and the industry. Sergio is the Executive Coordinator of INES - Science and Technology National Institute for Software Engineering and was Enterprise Relationship Director of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) from 2015 to 2017. He was Director of the Innovation SENAI Institute for Information and Communication Technologies (ISI-TICs) from 2013 to 2020, being the Chairman of SENAI’s Industry + Advanced Market Alliance, responsible for dealing with challenges associated with Industry 4.0, Advanced Manufacturing, IoT and Digitization for the Brazilian Industry.
