Jennifer Addison (they/she) joined the Public Policy in Inclusion team at Mila in December 2023 as the Project Manager for the AI4Good Lab, an introductory machine learning bootcamp for women and gender diverse people.
Their commitment to advancing gender equity spans diverse fields, from politics to youth programming. This work includes training women to run for office and developing initiatives that support the development and well-being of girls, young women, and gender diverse youth.
With over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector across the U.S. and Canada, Jennifer specializes in developing and implementing programs designed to address and disrupt structural inequities and discrimination experienced by underserved and historically marginalized communities.
Prior to Mila, Jennifer worked in Human Resources at the Business Development Bank of Canada, where they contributed to the development and advancement of the corporate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) strategy. Jennifer holds a degree in Global Studies from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
