I lead the Java Compiler Team at Google. A large part of our work focuses on lightweight static analysis to prevent bugs from entering Google’s Java codebase. We provide our bug detection tool, Error Prone (github.com/google/error-prone), as open source and as part of the Bazel (bazel.io) build system. Additionally, we provide tools that allow developers to refactor code at the scale of the whole Google codebase.

Country:United States
Research interests:Static analysis, virtual machines, Java
