WorkshopsAPSEC 2026
The APSEC 2026 Workshops provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to discuss emerging topics in software engineering research and practice. These workshops foster the exchange of innovative ideas and early-stage developments that may later evolve into conference or journal publications.
Workshops can focus on specific research themes, education, or industrial projects and may run for a full day or half day. Proposals will be evaluated based on originality, relevance to APSEC 2026, expected interest, and the organizers’ experience.
Workshop organizers are responsible for creating a dedicated webpage, coordinating with APSEC 2026 organizers, and ensuring proceedings are published through IEEE.

Organizing Committee
Call for Workshop Proposals
The APSEC 2026 workshops will provide a forum to discuss current topics in software engineering research and practice, offering opportunities for researchers and practitioners to exchange and discuss innovative scientific and engineering ideas at a stage before they have matured to warrant conference or journal publication, as well as new developments in the field.
We encourage those interested in organizing workshops to submit proposals. Workshops should highlight a specific topic of interest related to on-going research, education or industrial projects on software engineering. Each workshop can be full or half day.
Evaluation Criteria
Workshop proposals will be judged on their originality, relevance to the topics of APSEC 2026, the expected level of interest in the topic, and the organizers’ ability to lead a successful workshop. All workshop participants must register for the conference.
Important Dates
- Proposal Submission Deadline: July 6, 2026
- Notification: July 20, 2026
Responsibilities
Each workshop organizing committee will be responsible for:
- Create a web page for the workshop for publicity and communication. The call must make it clear that the workshop will be open to all participants of APSEC 2026.
- Provide a brief description of the workshop for the conference web page and program.
- Cooperate with the APSEC 2026 OC on logistics of registrations and event arrangements.
- Publish the proceedings. The workshop papers will be separately published by IEEE and will also appear in IEEE Xplore.
AI and Originality Policy
All submissions must be the original work of the listed authors.
The use of AI-based tools is permitted only for minor linguistic assistance, such as grammar correction, spelling correction, and improving clarity of writing. However, the use of generative AI tools to produce or substantially generate original research content, scientific claims, experimental results, analysis, or manuscript text is strictly prohibited.
By submitting a paper, authors confirm that:
- The submission is an original work created by the listed authors.
- The core intellectual contributions, including the research ideas, methodology, results, and conclusions, were developed by the authors.
- The paper is not generated (fully or partially) by generative AI tools in a way that replaces author originality.
Violations of this policy may result in desk rejection, removal from the proceedings, and reporting to the authors’ institutions or funding bodies where appropriate.
