ASE 2025
Sun 16 - Thu 20 November 2025 Seoul, South Korea

Call for Student Volunteers

We are looking for student volunteers to help us organize ASE 2025! Student volunteers are crucial in ensuring the success of the 40th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automated Software Engineering (ASE 2025). They help with many things, from registration to local support. Being a student volunteer is an excellent opportunity to meet, interact, and network with leading academic and industrial researchers and practitioners in Software Engineering. It also provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with peers from around the world who share a common interest in Software Engineering. And you will get free registration!

This exclusive experience is available to both undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world who are enthusiastic and willing to contribute to making ASE 2025 a unique experience for all attendees.

Responsibilities

Approximately 20 hours of work are expected during the conference week. Duties include:

  • Registration duties (e.g., setting up, preparing conference bags, and helping attendees register).
  • Technical assistance to speakers and attendees.
  • Providing help needed in poster sessions.
  • Providing directions at the conference location and banquet.
  • Verify badges at various halls, including dining halls.
  • Availability in presence from Sun 16 - Thu 20 November 2025 (inclusive).

Please specify in the application form if you are unavailable on any pre-and/or post-conference program days. Not all volunteers will be required to work full-time, and we can take this information into account to allocate and space out assignments.

Benefits

  • Complimentary student registration to the main conference and the ability to attend the sessions you have been assigned to.
    • Important note: all accepted papers must have a full or life member registration (not student registration) by at least one co-author for the main conference or workshop they appear in. If you are selected as a student volunteer and you have a paper at ASE’25, your student registration cost will be covered by the volunteer position, however, one of your co-authors must ALSO register at the full member registration rate for the conference for the paper.
  • Free ASE 2025 Student Volunteer T-Shirt.
  • Tickets for lunches during the main conference and the additional days when you will be volunteering, as well as for the ASE 2025 social dinner and reception.
  • A great opportunity to meet and talk about your research with leading researchers, both from academia and industry, and other students.
  • Possibility to attend pre-conference events on the days when you will be volunteering.
  • A certificate of participation.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a doctoral, master’s, or full-time undergraduate student at the time of the conference.
  • Must be proficient in English and have good social and communication skills.
  • Preference will be given to those who can be around most of the day on November 16 or November 20, 2025 .
