Bio

Filippo Lanubile is a Full Professor of computer science and Head of the Department of Informatics at the University of Bari, Italy, where he also leads the Collaborative Development Research Group. He is the co-founder, and previously the CEO, of the academic spin-off company PeoplewareAI. From 1995 to 1997, he was a research associate in the Experimental Software Engineering Group at the University of Maryland. His research interests include: human factors in software engineering, AI-augmented software development, engineering AI-enabled software systems, health informatics.

He is a recipient of a NASA Group Achievement Award (1996), an IBM Eclipse Innovation Award (2006), an IBM Faculty Award (2008), and the Software Engineering Innovation Foundation Award from Microsoft Research (2011). He was the General Chair of the 2020 and 2021 editions of the ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement (ESEM). From 2020 to 2023 he was the Chair of the IEEE Software Advisory Board. In 2024 he was the Deputy Chair of the ACM SIGSOFT Award Committee for Research, Education, and Service Awards.

Davide Di Ruscio is a Full Professor at the DISIM department of the University of L’Aquila. His primary research interests revolve around Software Engineering and Model-Driven Engineering (MDE). He focuses on diverse aspects within these fields, such as defining domain-specific modeling languages, model evolution, developing software systems using low-code techniques, and employing machine learning techniques to build recommendation systems in software engineering.

Davide has held various management positions and served on editorial committees for internationally renowned journals in the fields of Model-Driven Engineering and Software Engineering. He has also actively participated in program committees for workshops and conferences. As a reviewer, he has contributed to esteemed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, Empirical Software Engineering Journal, Software and Systems Modeling, and Journal of Systems and Software.

Bio

Anita Sarma is a Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University, where she also serves as Associate Head and directs the EPIC Lab. Her research lies at the intersection of human-centered software engineering, artificial intelligence, and STEM education.

Her work focuses on cognitive diversity, developer experience, inclusive software teams, and the sustainability of open-source communities. Her recent research examines how the use of generative AI affects the ways developers and students think, learn, collaborate, and contribute to software projects.

Bio

David Lo is the OUB Chair Professor of Computer Science and the founding Director of the Center for Research in Intelligent Software Engineering at Singapore Management University. He has worked in AI for Software Engineering since the mid-2000s, applying data mining, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, and search-based techniques to software engineering problems.

His research investigates how intelligent techniques can transform software engineering data into actionable insights and automation. It also examines practitioners' needs, the limitations of AI-enabled tools, and the conditions that shape developers' trust and acceptance of those tools.

In a Nutshell. Prof. Dr. Michele Lanza is full professor at the Faculty of Informatics of USI, the "Università della Svizzera italiana" in Lugano, Switzerland. He is the head of the REVEAL Research Group, which he founded in 2004. His research interests are in software engineering, and in the specific areas of software evolution, visualization, maintenance, and comprehension. In 2017 he founded the Software Institute, which he directed until the end of 2024.
