XP 2026 – CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – INDUSTRY AND PRACTICE

XP 2026 — 27th International Conference on Agile Software and Systems Development

An Agile Alliance Event

April 8-11 – São Paulo, Brazil

Submissions

We invite proposals for engaging and experimental sessions oriented towards practitioners. More than presentations, we favor workshops, demonstrations, and interaction based on your experience and practice from working in the industry.

Topics can, for example, include: practices for collaboration, coaching, engineering, leadership, sustainability, communication, and learning. You can also share how AI is changing or influencing your practice.

Sessions can be 30, 60, or 90 minutes, or for in-depth workshops/tutorials even half or full day.

Please excite and surprise us :)

Proposals are evaluated on these criteria:

  • Grounded in the proposers’ experiences
  • Fit with the conference theme
  • Clarity and practicality of the concept
  • Engaging and involving - tell us how you achieve this
  • How convincing and novel your presentation is

Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: November 28, 2025.
  • Notification: January 9, 2026.

All dates are defined as AoE (Anywhere on Earth).

Review process

Submissions will only be accepted via the conference submission system link.

People submitting a proposal will be expected to review and provide feedback on at least 3 other proposals, which will be assigned as part of the review process. Based on review comments and with the objective of creating a great conference program final selections will be made by the program committee.

The submission should contain the following information:

  • Type: session (90, 60, or 30min), tutorial/workshop (half day or full day)
  • Abstract: Explain the general topic and highlight the concepts the session is going to cover.
  • Learning outcomes: 1-3 reasons why a participant should choose this particular session and what would be the lessons learned
  • Process/Mechanics: rough agenda for the session, session style (lecture, interactive, demo), room set-up.
  • Target Audience (e.g. developers, managers, …)
  • Prerequisites required of attendees (e.g. basic knowledge in …, familiarity with …, … )
  • Short biography of the speaker(s)

And of course, you can also provide any additional information for the PC that helps decide on your submission.
