Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) is a leading MICE venue in central Korea, offering modern infrastructure and a strategic location. Consisting of two interconnected buildings, DCC 1 and DCC 2, the venue provides flexible spaces suitable for conferences, exhibitions, and international events.
For this conference, the event will be held in conference rooms in DCC 1, which offers spacious and well-equipped facilities for large-scale international gatherings. Conveniently, the building also houses SUNGSIMDANG, a famous bakery brand originating from Daejeon and widely known across Korea, located on the first floor.

The adjacent Expo Tower further enhances the skyline of the area, making Shinsegae Art & Science a popular destination for both residents and visitors seeking shopping, entertainment, and cultural experiences in one place.
Gapcheon River
The Gapcheon River is one of the most scenic areas in Daejeon, offering open views and a relaxing atmosphere near the conference venue. It is an ideal place to take a short break and enjoy the outdoors after a full day of sessions. Visitors can also experience water activities right in front of the DCC by renting a kayak or paddleboard at the Gapcheon Water Sport Center while enjoying the city skyline from the river. The center operates from April to October and is located between the DCC and the Expo Bridge. A short five-minute walk from the DCC toward the river leads directly to the ticket booth and boarding area beside the bicycle path.
Hanbat Arboretum
Located close to Expo Park and the DCC, Hanbat Arboretum is the largest man-made urban arboretum in Korea and one of Daejeon’s most well-known green spaces. The area features wide walking paths, diverse plant collections, and open landscapes that change with the seasons. The arboretum is divided into two main sections: the West Garden, known for its natural-style woodlands and grassy fields, and the East Garden, which includes a pond and colorful themed flower displays. Visitors can explore a variety of botanical environments while enjoying the spacious layout and scenic views that highlight the city’s connection to nature.
KAIST: Korea’s Hub of Innovation
KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) is one of the leading institutions driving scientific and technological innovation in South Korea. Sungsimdang: Daejeon’s Famous Bakery
If you visit Daejeon, you should not miss Sungsimdang, one of South Korea’s most beloved and historic bakeries. Founded in 1956 as a small bread stall near Daejeon Station, it has grown into a famous local landmark known for its signature breads and long-standing tradition. Notably, Sungsimdang operates only in Daejeon, making it a unique experience for visitors to the city. In addition to its main stores, there is also a branch located at the DCC, making it easy for conference participants to stop by.
