Reaching IIIT Hyderabad
By Air
IIIT Hyderabad is located approximately 35 km from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (IATA: HYD, ICAO: VOHS), one of the largest airports in India providing connectivity to major destinations worldwide.
Getting from Airport to Campus:
The campus can be reached from the airport in about 40 minutes via public transport or private taxis (Uber, Ola, etc.). It is highly recommended to take a pre-paid cab or ride-hailing service. The fare typically ranges from ₹800-1200 depending on the taxi type.

By Train
Hyderabad has multiple railway stations with good connectivity to IIIT Hyderabad. Check available trains if traveling within India.
From Nampally Railway Station (16 km):
Take an auto, pre-paid taxi, or APSRTC bus (Nos: 216 & 217) to reach IIIT-H.
From Secunderabad Railway Station (23 km):
Take a pre-paid taxi, metered auto, or APSRTC bus to Mehdipatnam (Nos: 5 & 49M), then another bus from Mehdipatnam to IIIT-H (Nos: 216, 217).
From Begumpet Railway Station (16 km):
Some trains, especially from Mumbai, stop here. Take a pre-paid taxi or metered auto, or bus No. 49M to Mehdipatnam, then buses 216 or 217 to IIIT-H.
From Lingampally Railway Station (7 km):
Some trains from Mumbai stop here. Autorickshaws and shared mini-taxis (tempos) are available.
By Road
If arriving at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, reach the campus by taxi, metered autos, or TSRTC bus numbered 216 or 217.
Note: Bus numbers 216K and 216L do not go via the institute campus.
