Continuations are useful in both programming languages and
natural language.
Given successful applications in both kinds of languages,
it is tempting to explore the usefulness of continuations in
other forms of languages, such as music.
We identify common patterns in music that can be described as
manipulation of continuations.
The patterns guide us in how to design and implement musical
continuations.
