Mon 13 Oct 2025 14:00 - 14:20 at Peony NE - Principled scientific programming

Energy transition and decarbonisation, adaptation to climate change, risk mitigation strategies and other components of a sustainable future all require changes in public policy and behaviour. These in turn require transparent, evidence-based communication of the core issues to policymakers, other scientists, and the general public.

This talk will highlight the role of software infrastructure in meeting these transparency requirements and will report on a “transparent programming languages” project called “Fluid”.

This program is tentative and subject to change.
