Dr. Amita Sharma is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Computer Science & IT at IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur. With over 15 years of teaching and 12 years of research experience, her core expertise lies in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Bioinformatics. She has authored over 50 research publications, multiple book chapters with Springer and CRC Press, and has guided numerous doctoral and student research projects.
She is the Coordinator for AI Skill Development Programs and IIT Bombay Remote Center at IISU. Dr. Sharma was recently honored with the “Aaditya Shakti” Award 2025 by Rotary Club Jaipur Gurukul for her contributions to technical education and community service. She also received the I2OR International Teaching Excellence Award 2023 and multiple appreciation letters from IIT Bombay and MHRD for her role in MOOCs and innovation initiatives.
A recognized thought leader, Dr. Sharma actively mentors students, organizes AI hackathons, and contributes to national/international conferences, making her a dynamic force in integrating education, research, and real-world applications.
