Ali is affiliated with Volvo Cars and Chalmers University of Technology, where his primary research focus is on “ensuring the safety of the rapid and continuous deployment of autonomous vehicles”. He also represents Sweden in the ISO/PAS 8800 (safety and artificial intelligence) and ISO/TS 5083 (safety for automated driving systems) international standards.
