Bradford Mott is a Senior Research Scientist in the Center for Educational Informatics and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. His research is in the areas of artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction with a focus on AI in education and entertainment, game-based learning, natural language processing, user modeling, and interactive narrative. His work includes the design, development, and investigation of advanced technologies for education, training, and entertainment, including work that investigates the use of game-based learning to promote K-12 computer science and artificial intelligence education. He serves as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on projects supported by the National Science Foundation and the Institute of Education Sciences. His work has been recognized with several best paper awards and he has contributed to award winning video games, including one that received a game of the year award.
