Diaeddin Rimawi is a Technologist at the Cybersecurity Lab of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Through this role, he contributes to applied research, supports the preparation of project proposals, advises on cybersecurity technologies, and participates in teaching and mentoring activities. He holds a PhD in Advanced-Systems Engineering from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. His doctoral research focused on the intersection of innovation and sustainability in Smart Cyber-Physical Systems. He introduced the concept of Green Resilience and developed decision-making frameworks that leverage optimization, game theory, and reinforcement learning to balance resilience and greenness in AI-enabled systems (e.g., collaborative robots). Prior to his PhD, Diaeddin accumulated diverse experience across academia and industry. He served as a University Instructor at Birzeit University, led instructional programs as Head of Instructors at AXSOS Academy in Palestine, and worked as a Software Engineer at ASAL Technologies within the NVIDIA MFT Team. His background reflects a strong commitment to technological advancement and inclusive, skills-oriented education.
