Alex Cummaudo received his BSc degree in software development from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia in 2016 and his BIT(Hons) from Deakin University, Australia in 2017, where he developed an end-to-end computer vision prototype for detecting alphanumeric sequences in-the-wild. He currently specialises in AI-component integration, and explores ways to enhance DevX and developer productivity within AI-based software. His PhD thesis investigated the behavioural and evolutionary profiles of intelligent web services, improving software documentation, and designing novel integration architectures for use with computer vision services. He is completing his PhD under Deakin University’s Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute, having published in top A and A*-ranked software engineering conferences, and is currently employed by the Institute as an Associate Research Fellow.
