Bio:

Chuck-jee Chau is a musician as well as computer music researcher. He got his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), with research focusing on timbre analysis and music emotion. During his master studies he developed the timbre visualization tool pvan+ for phase vocoder analysis. He obtained his B.Eng. in computer engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a minor in music. Besides computer music research, he is also a versatile collaborative pianist and mallet percussionist active in chamber music performances.
