Bio:

Emeralda Sesari is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Groningen, under the supervision of Dr. Ayushi Rastogi and Prof. Federica Sarro. Her research focuses on the human and social aspects of software engineering, with a particular emphasis on organizational fairness in software development teams. Her previous Ph.D. work has been featured at ESEM.

She received the B.Eng. in computer engineering from Telkom University, and the M.Sc. degree in software systems engineering from University College London. She was honored with the Student Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Award 2022 by University College London Engineering for her outstanding contributions to enhancing equality, diversity, and inclusion across the department. Emeralda is also actively involved in the software engineering research community. She serves as a Junior PC member for MSR 2024 and 2025, a PC member for Fairness 2025 and Publicity Chair for SSBSE 2023.
