Lecia Barker is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Science at the University of Colorado Boulder and a Senior Research Scientist for the National Center for Women & Information Technology. She conducts research on how social climates affect participation of women in computing careers as well as educational technologies used in postsecondary education. She designs programmatic interventions to advance women’s meaningful participation in computing, such as NCWIT’s Extension Services programs (https://ncwit.org/program/extension-services/)
