Bio:

Michael Hall holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He spent approximately nine years in industry as a Software Engineer, most recently at OpenVault. His professional experience spans reconfigurable logic, integrated circuit and PCB design, networking, software engineering, parallel programming, optimization, and data science. In 2024, he joined the teaching faculty at Washington University in St. Louis, where he teaches in the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical & Systems Engineering.
