Ming Jin is an educator leading the AI Task Force at her school and a member of the Pulitzer Center’s 2026 Information & AI Teacher Advisory Council, working at the intersection of classroom practice, education systems, and responsible innovation. She is a Lead Teacher at Washington Yu Ying PCS, a Mandarin-English bilingual public charter IB school in Washington, DC, where she focuses on how learning environments shape long-term human and societal outcomes — from individual classrooms to system-level design.
Her research centers on K-12 AI literacy and accountability, including unplugged AI literacy pedagogy for elementary students and AI accountability journalism in K-12 education contexts. Through her role with the Pulitzer Center, she works on bringing accountability journalism into elementary classrooms as a way to build critical AI literacy early.
Beyond her U.S.-based work, Ming also serves as Chief Academic Advisor for the Dayu Class at Camford Royal School in Beijing, and as advisor for Zhaoxiang Children’s Focus (Attention) & Physical Fitness in Shenzhen — extending her educational philosophy across a cross-cultural, cross-systems context.
She approaches education as a long-term societal system — one in which the choices made for children today shape equity, stability, and peace for generations. In leading her school’s AI Task Force, she emphasizes ethical, human-centered approaches to technology that expand opportunity while protecting trust, professional judgment, and local context. She is particularly interested in scalable models that strengthen educator capacity and prioritize long-term human development over short-term performance metrics.
