Bio:
Dr. Renée McCauley is a professor and department chair of Computer Science at the College of Charleston. Her scholarly activities revolve around computer science education, and include teaching, curriculum development, and collaborative education-based research on the cognitive development of novice programmers. Her career has also included numerous service contributions to the international community of computer science educators, through her involvement with ACM and the SIGCSE organizations in particular, as well as to her own campus. She has been recognized as an ACM Distinguished Member, for her career contributions in computer science education research and service, in 2017.
