Robbert is a Software Scientist deeply passionate about understanding the intricacies of computer systems, from abstract design patterns to assembly code. As a researcher at IMEC vzw, he focuses on simplifying the creation of parallel and concurrent systems. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Ghent University, where he developed innovative tools for programming and debugging small microcontrollers (WARDuino), GPUs (Gaiwan), and large distributed systems (GraphRedex). His enthusiasm for uncovering and sharing beautiful concepts in computing drives his work. In his free time, he enjoys dancing, kayaking, cycling, and contributing to open-source projects.
