Sandro has a degree in Data Processing Technology from the University of the Amazon (1998) in Brazil, Specialization in Systems Analysis from the Federal University of Pará (1999) in Brazil, Master in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2001) in Brazil, Doctorate and Post-Doctorate in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2007/2015) in Brazil. He is currently Associate Professor III at the Federal University of Pará - UFPA in Brazil, Research Leader of the Research Project SPIDER - Software Process Improvement: DEvelopment and Research (http://www.spider.ufpa.br) that received second place in the Dorgival Brandão Júnior Award referring to the 2011 cycle of the Brazilian Software Quality and Productivity Program of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil. Sandro supervised more than 30 undergraduate research projects and over 75 final course work for undergraduate students in Computer Science, in addition he supervised over 50 master’s dissertations and more than 20 doctoral theses in Computer Science with an emphasis in Computer Science ( Software Engineering, Software Quality, Software Process Improvement and Educational Informatics). Sandro has published more than 250 scientific articles in numerous international conferences and more than 50 scientific articles in jounals with great impact in the area of ​​Computer Science. During his post-doctoral internship, Sandro wrote two books on Software Quality and one book on a competency model for training information technology ventures. Throughout his academic life, Sandro has received numerous awards as a highlight in his education, as well as best work in different conferences and award for best master’s dissertation under his guidance. He is a Consultant-Implementer, Evaluator and Instructor of the MPS.BR quality model for software development by SWQuality Consultoria e Sistemas Ltda. He served as: Cobra Tecnologia’s Development Division Manager; Process and Quality Manager at Amazon Corporation; and Titular Professor at the University of the Amazon - UNAMA. He has experience in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Software Engineering, working mainly on the following topics: software process, software quality, project management, CASE tools, software development environment, information system, gamification and computing educational.
