Name:Shiping Chen

Dr. Shiping Chen is a senior principal research scientist in CSIRO Data61, where he leads a research working on software architecture and data platform. He also holds an conjoint Professor with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) through teaching and supervising PhD students. He has been working on distributed systems for over 20+ years with focus on performance and security. He has 270+ publications in these research areas. He is actively involved in computing research community through publications, journal editorship and conference services, including WWW, ICBC, ICSOC and IEEE ICWS/SCC/CLOUD. His current research interests include application security and blockchain technologies. He is a senior member of the IEEE and a fellow of IET.
