John W. Castro received his PhD degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2014. He received his MSc in Computer Science and Telecommunications, specializing in Advanced Software Development, from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2009. He received his BSc in Systems Engineering from the Universidad del Valle (Colombia) in 2001. He has fifteen years of experience in the area of software system development. He is currently assistant professor at Universidad de Atacama. He held a doctoral research fellow at the University of Oulu (Finland) in 2014. He worked as a research assistant at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He was a member of the Program Committee of ICSE 2017 Software Engineering in Practice (SEIP) track. He has ten years of experience as a reviewer at various international conferences (including CORE A and CORE B conferences). He has been a reviewer of Journals WoS.
