Bio:

Tiago is an expert in formal methods specialized in HPC applications. He has worked in the detection of concurrency errors (data-races and deadlocks) in parallel programs, with an emphasis in GPU programming.

Tiago Cogumbreiro is an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Boston, since Fall of 2018. Prior to that, Tiago was a postdoctoral researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Rice University, supervised by Professor Vivek Sarkar, and a research assistant at Imperial College London, supervised by Professor Nobuko Yoshida. Tiago obtained a PhD from the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
