Omar Alghamdi is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester as a member of the Human-Computer Systems group. His research focuses on the implications of online resources on programmers’ memory and on the code that is produced and used online. He is experienced in mixed-methods research involving a combination of qualitative and quantitative studies with programmers. His active participation in various workshops and discussions, such as the Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) and Psychology of Programming Interest Group (PPIG), has been recognized with several awards, highlighting his commitment to staying at the forefront of the latest developments in his field. In addition to his research, Omar is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Saudi Electronic University. Omar received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from King Abdulaziz University and Nova Southeastern University in 2014 and 2017, respectively.
