I’m a full professor (since 2025) at the Software Languages Lab (SOFT) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Belgium, where I lead the Code Analysis and ManiPulation (CAMP) subgroup.
With this group, I’ve published over 160 peer-reviewed articles in the domain. Our research focuses on the design of program analyses, and on their application to problems in software quality and application security. Examples include soft verification of contracts, incremental abstract interpretation, fine-grained change analysis of individual commits, mining for change patterns in multiple commits, and security analyses of infrastructure code, WebAssembly binaries and zero-knowledge proof programs.
I lead the research line on static and dynamic application security testing in the Cybersecurity Research Programme Flanders and co-chair the Summer School on Security Testing and Verification.
Since academic year 2019-2020, I’m also the programme director of the bachelor in Computer Science of VUB.
