Vini Kanvar is a Research Scientist at IBM Research India, with a PhD in Computer Science from IIT Bombay. Her research spans software engineering, program analysis, artificial intelligence, and enterprise application modernization. She has authored several international patents and research publications at leading international conferences and has received IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award (OTAA). Titled as “Mrs. Mainframe APIfication” in IBM Research, she has been appreciated for her team spirit, technical depth, and practical contributions to software modernization.
Beyond her technical research, Vini is an active speaker and panelist, sharing insights from over a decade of work at IBM on software modernization, AI, PhD and industry research. Her talks also explore spirituality, women in technology, and the human dimensions of software engineering, reflecting her interest in bringing together technological innovation and human well-being.
