I am a doctoral researcher at Loughborough University. My work asks how AI can participate in authoritative engineering models while the guarantees those models carry stay intact, and it produces an architecture framework plus a set of admissibility constraints that an AI contribution must satisfy before it is allowed to change a model of record.
I work in the defence and aerospace area, where MBSE is the delivery expectation. The research questions come from that. SysML v2 adoption and AI-assisted modelling run into problems in industrial practice that are easy to miss from a clean-sheet position, and those problems set the agenda here.
At MODELS 2026 I present Governed AI Participation in Model-Based Systems Engineering on the NIER track, joint work with Dr Siyuan Ji and Prof Michael Henshaw. I also work on architecture frameworks (SysML v2, UAF, NAF), ISO 15288 lifecycle alignment, autonomy-level transition governance, and the traceability machinery that AI-augmented engineering needs to be auditable.
