Dr. Mohamed Bettaz holds a master’s degree and a doctorate from Czech Technical University in Prague. Currently, he holds a position at the same university in the Faculty of Information Technology. He worked at Prague City University from 2020 to August 2023, where he acted as the BSc Computing Programme Leader. From 2000 to 2006 and from 2014 to 2020, he held the position of Professor of Computer Science at Philadelphia University in Jordan. Before that, Dr. Bettaz was also a professor of Informatics at the University of Constantine and at the Ecole nationale Supérieure d’Informatique in Algiers. Dr. Bettaz is the author of over a hundred research articles, books and book chapters in prestigious IT journals and international conferences. His research interests include topics related to Software Engineering, Formal Methods, Conceptual Modeling, Ontologies, Computer Networks, Computer Communication Protocols, and Programming. Dr Bettaz is a member of IFIP WG 1.3 (Foundations of System Specification) and a member of of INSTICC (Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication). He is a Honorary Professor of Amity University Noida. His is an emeritus professor of the Ecole nationale Supérieure d’Informatique since 2025.
