Nicolás E. Díaz Ferreyra is a senior researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Software Security of Hamburg University of Technology, Germany. His research covers human factors in software security and user-centred privacy in networked environments. He has a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Duisburg-Essen, where he worked as a postdoctoral fellow and coordinator of the research group on “User-Centred Social Media” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). He hast taken part of several European projects on privacy and securiy including PDP4E, AssureMOSS and more recently Sec4AI4Sec: Cybersecurity for AI-Augmented Systems. Since 2023, he is an associate member of the Research Institute for Socio-Technical Cybersecurity (RISCS) at the University of Bristol.
