Bio:

Stéphane Alarie is a mechanical engineering graduate from Polytechnique Montréal. He next completed an OR Masters degree at GERAD, Montreal. He then worked nine years (1998-2007) on the design and development of the real-time truck assignment module of MineStar, a package of software solutions for open pit mines, at Caterpillar Inc. He is now Researcher (from 2007) at the Hydro-Québec Research Institute (IREQ) where he works on different projects, among which, the calibration of models and simulators, demand response, integration of renewables, asset management.
