Travelling to Naples

By Plane

Naples is served by Naples International Airport (Capodichino), which has direct connections to major European cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Munich, as well as Italian cities like Milan and Rome. The airport is located approximately 7 km from the city center.

We recommend that participants fly directly to Naples Capodichino Airport via a connecting flight from one of the major cities listed above. For more details on flights and airport services, visit the official airport website: Naples Capodichino Airport.
To travel from Naples Capodichino Airport to Napoli Centrale - Train Station or to the city center, you can take a taxi or the Alibus shuttle service.

  • Route: Naples International Airport → Central Train Station → Port (Molo Beverello)
  • Ticket Price: €5.00 (valid for a single journey)
  • Frequency: Every 25 minutes, from 06:00 AM to 11:00 PM
  • Tickets: Available on board or online

For more information, visit the Alibus website.

Alternatively, you can fly into Rome Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci), which offers frequent international connections. From there, you can travel to Naples by train:

  • Take the Leonardo Express, a direct train from Fiumicino Airport to Roma Termini (Rome’s central railway station). Trains depart every 30 minutes, and the journey takes 32 minutes. Tickets cost €14.00. More information is available at the Leonardo Express website.
  • From Roma Termini, take a high-speed train (Frecciarossa or Frecciargento) to Napoli Centrale. Trains run approximately every hour, with a travel time of 1 hour and 15 minutes. You can check schedules and purchase tickets at Trenitalia.

Note: While taxis are available at Rome Fiumicino Airport, Naples is approximately 200 km away, and a taxi ride would be very expensive.

By Train

The main railway station in Naples is Napoli Centrale – Piazza Garibaldi, which is well connected to other major Italian cities via high-speed trains (Frecciarossa and Frecciargento). For schedules and ticket information, visit Trenitalia.

Once at Napoli Centrale, you can reach your final destination via:
- Metro: Line 1 connects the central station to key areas in Naples.
- Taxi: Available at the main exit of the station. See details on fixed-rate fares below.
- Public buses: Various local buses operate from the station to different parts of the city.

You can use navigation apps such as Moovit or Google Maps to plan your trip to the venue using public transit. See below for more details on how to reach the conference venue once you arrive in Naples.

How to Reach the Congress Center

The Congress Center, where the conference will take place, is located on Via Partenope (Partenope Street), one of Naples’ most picturesque streets.
