We have compiled the most frequently asked questions here and we hope they can answer most of the participants’ questions. Please read this page carefully before contacting the organizers. Naturally, there will be other logistical questions and problems that we have not yet addressed, as well as problems that we have not even imagined. We will get to those as we learn about them.
1- What happens to my registration?
If you have a paid registration for ICST 2020, your registration will continue to be valid (including workshops registrations).
2- I no longer intend to participate in ICST 2020, can I cancel my registration?
If you are not the author of any article at the conference, you can cancel your registration without any penalty. To do so, simply demonstrate your intention to cancel by May 31, 2020 using the following form: https://forms.gle/UTMMqUJBr21r2wyt6.
If you are an author, you will have to keep your registration for your article to remain part of the conference proceedings.
3- I am an author but I have another event on the new conference dates, can I transfer my registration to another co-author?
Yes, you can transfer your registration to someone else free of charge; for that you just have to fill in the following form by May 31, 2020: https://forms.gle/p1B5zE9ZyP3SpoDn6.
4- I registered for multiple events (main conference + workshops), however I intend to reduce my participation. Can I modify my registration?
Yes, if you are not an author you can change your registration, free of charge, until May 31, 2020. For that you just need to fill out the following form: https://forms.gle/p1B5zE9ZyP3SpoDn6.
If you are an author, you can also change your registration, as long as you still comply with the registration rules for authors.
5- During my registration, I booked accommodation through the registration link; what will happen with my accommodation reservations?
If you have booked accommodation through the courtesy service provided in the registration form the conference registration link, the agency that is helping us with the registrations and bookings will negotiate with the hotels to have the accommodation transferred to new dates. This is a process that will take some time as some hotels may not be available for new dates. If you want to get the most up-to-date information on the subject you should contact the company responsible for the reservations (abreuevents@abreu.pt).
6- Is it still possible to register or change registrations using the early bird fees?
Yes, the early bird registration deadline was moved to July 31.
7- What will happen to the conference program? Will the program be shifted as it was? (i.e. Monday 23rd of March maps exactly onto October 24th and so forth for the rest of the program)
Yes, the program will be shifted to the new dates. Obviously and taking into account some dropouts and the keynotes availability it may be necessary to make some punctual changes. We intend to have the new program closed by the end of April.
