Carla Silva is an Associate Professor of Computing at the Informatics Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the Applied Science and Education Center of the Federal University of Paraíba (2009 - 2011). She received the MSc and PhD degrees in Software Engineering from Federal University of Pernambuco (2001 - 2007) and the BSc degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Campina Grande (2001). Her research interests are in Software Engineering, mainly in the following subjects: Requirements Engineering and Empirical Software Engineering. Recently, she has more than 100 scientific papers published, many of them in high impact conferences and journals. Her h-index is 18, according to Google Scholar. She has been serving as a Program Committee member of conferences, such as ACM SAC RE Track, WER, CIbSE and CBSoft. Occasionally, she has served as reviewer for scientific journals, and reviewed papers for The Journal of Systems and Software, Journal of Software Engineering Research and Development, CLEI Electronic Journal, Information and Software Technology and Empirical Software Engineering. She is also supervisor of Ph.D. students.
