AKRAM HAKIRI is an associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science at ISSAT Mateur, and a research scientist at SYSCOM Labs’ ENIT, both in Tunisia. He is also a senior scientist and researcher at LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France, and a visiting research scientist at the Institute for Software Integrated Systems (ISIS) at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, USA. His current research focuses on developing novel solutions to emerging challenges in network virtualization, software defined networking, QoS and resource management in wireless networks, and DRE middleware running over data networks and embedded system interconnects. He obtained his engineer’s degree (computer engineering) from the National Institute of Applied Science and Technology (INSAT) in Tunisia in 2007, the M.S. (computer science) from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse in 2008, and the D.Sc. (computer science) from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse in 2012.
