I am a PhD candidate in Computer Science at PUC-Rio, working at the intersection of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. My research focuses on understanding and improving the engineering of AI-enabled systems, with particular interests in Requirements Engineering, empirical Software Engineering, qualitative research methods, LLM-based systems, and AI agents.
I hold an MSc in Informatics from PUC-Rio, with a concentration in Data Science, and a BSc in Computer Science from UFSJ. During my MSc, I investigated Requirements Engineering for Machine Learning-enabled systems, including a large-scale international survey involving practitioners from multiple countries. My current doctoral research continues exploring how Software Engineering practices and empirical methods can support the development and study of increasingly intelligent and AI-intensive systems.
Alongside academia, I have worked as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, and industry researcher. My experience includes developing production software systems and applying Machine Learning to industrial problems at Petrobras. These experiences shape my interest in research that connects empirical investigation with problems faced in real-world software development.
I am particularly interested in collaborations around empirical Software Engineering, AI engineering, Requirements Engineering, qualitative methods, and the development of trustworthy and effective AI-enabled systems.
