I have lived in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, for over 30 years. After receiving my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, I worked in the IT industry in Edmonton for more than 15 years. I am very proud of the vital IT community in Edmonton. In 2012, it was my turn to contribute to training the next generation of IT practitioners. Therefore, I quit my job and returned to school for a Ph.D. in Computing Science at the University of Alberta.
After finishing my Ph.D. program in 2019, I joined MacEwan University as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science. MacEwan University has a strong tradition and reputation in teaching. The opportunity allows me to combine my IT industrial experience with computer science education, while continuing my research.
